A woman has a natural attraction and also posses what it takes to boost
the value of tourism if well cultured. In other words, she is appealing to the society
who can put their faith in her. She can also be appealing to health
professionals, economists, philanthropists, engineers, freedom fighters,
mothers and fathers if she can give them reasons to put their faith in her.
Women empowerment through
education need to start challenging the definitions of beauty, which in the
past thrust upon the African girl-child without their input. This is because
beauty is 3 dimensional. It comprises of strength of character which are integrity,
intellect and physical well being. Every woman is beautiful. But the strength
of a Beauty Queen should be in her love, courage, perseverance, intelligence,
and creativity, in projecting her Role-model status.
What can YOU do with a crown on your head and what values are YOU
practicing that make YOU a prototype of a perfect Beauty Queen? The reality of
what your dreams stand for and what it takes to achieve them determines if they
are worth achieving. There is no shortcut to success. Education, hard work, and
discipline are important.
Put yourself out there. Find out what’s going on in your community. What
are you doing about promoting the true value of the girl-child? What about
protecting the vulnerable in your community, confronting the water crises,
as well as grooming future queens? What are you doing for yourself? If you can’t
serve yourself, if you’re not a good steward of yourself how can you expect to
be trusted with your community through the crown?
The woman who deserves a crown is one who can manage to succeed against
all odds, the woman with mind blowing ideas and yet maintaining humility, grace
and poise. She is the one who is always willing to help without putting
personal interest first, the woman who has gathered the strength to take a lead.
This is a far cry from the figure-8 who want royalty but can’t even spell it.
Therefore it is a needful desire for young women to aspire to be the new kind
of Beauty Queen with influence and developed skills.
Image is everything and there is no second chance to a first impression.
No matter how well you think of yourself, if you don’t package yourself
appropriately, opportunities will constantly fly pass you. As a Beauty Queen,
you are a brand, and your mind is a moving business. A brand is a matter of
perception, once it is considered cheap or lacks integrity, no one wants to be
associated with it .YOU were created for such a time as this .Your talents and
skills are unique. Calve a niche, find your gap and fill it. Find your purpose-
because where purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.
The summery is that, there are always people with the crown, but there

Models Connect Award Nomination Party organized by Models Connect
Nigeria, is to be held under the theme “Who Deserve A Crown”. It will be
followed with an honorary award dinner during which individuals and organizations
that have contribution to the growth of Beauty, Hospitality,

Step 1: Send two professional photos with self description, name,

essay why you think you or who you are nominating deserves a crown.
Step 2: Pictures of nominated models will be uploaded on our page for an
ONLINE VOTING; the highest LIKES on the PAGE will be invited to the Award
Nomination Party for final voting by live audience prio to the Award dinner.

NOTE: At the Award dinner, the nominated models will be presented with a
